JOURNEY'S STATEMENT OF FAITH: WE BELIEVE (CONDENSED WITH SOME SCRIPTURE REFERENCE)
1. WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
2 Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21
2. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). John 1:1; John 15:26; Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22
3. WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine. He was born of a virgin. Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:31; Luke 1:35
4. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world. Genesis 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19
5. WE BELIEVE....(Blood of Jesus)...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Eph. 2:8; Titus 2:11; 3:5-7
6. WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4 (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

7. WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4; 1:8; I Corn. 12:1-31; Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; John 7:37-39; Acts 4:8; 2:43; Hebrews 12:28; Acts 2:42; Mark 16:20
8. WE BELIEVE...The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles. Acts 2:4; I Corn. 12:4-10; 12:28
9. WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike. Romans 12:1-2; I Thess. 5:23; Hebrews 13:12; 12:14; I Peter 1:15-16
10. WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; 12:23; Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16; I Corn. 12:13; 12:28; 14:12; Eph. 4:11-16
11. WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church. Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23-24; Ephesians 4:11-16
12. WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins.) Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16; I Peter 2:24
13. WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. I Thess. 4:16-17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; I Corn. 15:51-52
14. WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. At that time many in the nation of Israel will recognize and accept Him as the Messiah, the Savior who died for them and all mankind. Zechariah 14:5; Matt. 24:27; 24:30; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6; Ezekiel 37:21-22; Zephaniah 3:19-20; Romans 11:26-27; Isaiah 11:6-9; Psalm 72:3-8; Micah 4:3-4
15. WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire. Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8
16. WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!' 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21 & 22
Journey Ministries, Incorporated is a nonprofit, Full Gospel evangelistic ministry with the main objective of reaching those in need of a Savior with the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord has placed within my Spirit a unique way to minister through music and the anointed delivery of His Word for Salvation and to bring Hope and Encouragement to the Heart of the Believer. We each are given a mandate of the "Great Commission" to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15. I believe as we yield ourselves fully to the Lord, He will fulfill Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, (because Jesus is in us and we are in Him); He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor (those who do not know Jesus); He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, (to give hope and encouragement in Jesus), To proclaim liberty to the captives (those who are bound and possessed by the evil one, satan, and his demons), And recovery of sight to the blind, (both in the natural and in the Spirit), To set at liberty those who are oppressed (tormented by satan and his demons), To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. (To preach the acceptable, favorable Gospel of Jesus Christ to ALL!)
“The Vision” for Journey Ministries, Incorporated, a Full Gospel Ministry, was received during the fall of 2007. The Lord made real Revelation 3:20, “I know your [record of] works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name.” (Amplified Bible) I am a firm believer in Ephesians 1:4 & 5; and 2:10, where the Bible confirms that every person has an individual “Call of God” upon their lives, an assignment from the “Holy One” that only they can do. At age seven, while in a small Assemblies of God Church, our pastor invited Missionaries to testify of the goodness of the Lord in leading the lost to a salvation knowledge of Jesus in foreign lands. As they showed their slides and shared, my Spirit would burn within me and the Lord showed me visions of ministering in foreign lands. At the end of these services, the choir would sing the words to a familiar song “I’ll go where you want me to go dear Lord,” I answered the Lord’s Call upon my life at that young age. Officially, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior on February 5, 1967, at age 13; Baptized in Water on April 2, 1967; and Filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues on January 4, 1968. Beginning at age 23, in 1978, and when my children were small, I was blessed to minister in a variety of capacities in my local church from Sunday School Teacher, Children’s Church Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Youth Leader, Elder’s wife, Prayer Team, Orchestra, Choir, Praise Team and Prophetic Dance. From the year 2000 through 2007, I traveled as an Ordained Minister with an International Prophetic Ministry both domestically and abroad, and became one of the four directors of that ministry, administrator and armor bearer to the leader. During my annual leave from work at a Federal Prison, I was privileged to assist the leader on 12 ministry trips abroad and 19 domestic ministry trips. We ministered: Multiple times in England & Ireland, St. Lucia, Mexico, three times in Africa, twice in Greece, India, Philippines and Israel. Domestic ministry trips included: Multiple times in Florida, Alabama, Missouri, and Texas, Georgia and Washington DC. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have experienced a great outpouring and anointing of the Spirit of God in these meetings.
I Corinthians 1:26-31, has been a basis for the “Call of God” upon my life. 26) “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27) But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28) and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29) that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- 31) that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” NKJV My Testimony is that I am a “Tachmonite!” An ordinary person, certainly not birthed in royalty, not of great wealth or riches, but someone God, by His sovereign anointing and power, placed in the supernatural! (What is impossible with man was made possible in God!) A Testimony to me is an account of the past that has brought you to where you are today. Today, “I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.” II Corinthians 5:21....ALL GLORY GOES TO HIM!
